British painter and known for portraits of mythological
female characters was John William Waterhouse. Born in
Rome, Italy in 1849, his family moved to South Kensington
when he was a young boy. The 2012 John William

surroundings. The cover shows a redhead on the rocks
by the ocean, watching a boat struggling to stay afloat.

have a female working on her hair, another with flowers, and
one relaxing at a table. The artist died in 1917 at
