Route 66 2012 Calendars

The
decommissioned highway that stretched 2,450 miles across
America is known as Route 66. It was also known as the
Will Rogers highway and the Main Street of America.
These 2012 Route 66 calendars celebrate the road that ran
from Chicago, Illinois to Los Angeles, California. The
highway also took a driver through Missouri, Kansas,
Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. Many unique
spots decorate the road and they can be identified in these
Route 66 2012 calendars. Unfortunately, the
designation of 'Route 66' was removed from the U.S. Highway
System in 1985 because it was replaced by the Interstate
Highway System. It was deemed irrelevant, however
parts of the road have been renamed 'Historic Route 66' and
are so designated along the way. |
