The
Boulder campus was first introduced to a rugby style of
football in 1890, which gradually evolved into today's
modern game. Their home field was Colorado Stadium
until 1944 when it was changed to Folsom Field in honor of
coach Fred Folsom. The 2012 Colorado Buffaloes
calendar feature many of the squads that Folsom coached.
He led the team from 1895-1902 and 1908-1915 and compiled a
remarkable 78-23-2 record. The Colorado Buffaloes 2012
calendar show how talented his boys were as they destroyed
Missouri on many occasions. Folsom's went undefeated
four times, with three of the unbeaten teams being
consecutive. The Buffaloes of today play in the Big 12
Conference, but they still play on Folsom Field. |
