The
Wildcats football play their games in the Big Ten Conference
at Ryan Field in Evansville, Illinois. Fourth year
coach Pat Fitzgerald hopes to take them to back-to-back bowl
games for the first time since 1996-97. The 2012
vintage Northwestern Wildcats football calendar harkens back
to 1931 and earlier with the top-notch Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Although their all-time record is 458-600, they do have a
winning record with Fitzgerald leading the team. The
first bowl game for the Northwestern Wildcats was a good
one. The played and won the grand-daddy of them all,
The Rose Bowl, in 1949 against California. The
Northwestern Wildcats football 2012 calendar includes their
upcoming schedule for this season. Unfortunately, the
Rose Bowl in 1949 is the only bowl game Northwestern have
ever won. However, Fitzgerald expects to change their
fortunes quickly. |
