The
motto of the United States Marine Corps is Semper Fi.
The Latin phrase (Semper Fidelis) has been used by people in
many countries as far back as the fourteenth century.
The 2012 Semper Fi calendar focuses on the U.S. military and
all the honor and loyalty associated with wearing the
uniform. It was in 1883 that the United States Marine
Corps adopted the slogan. It was suggested by Colonel
Charles McCawley. Inside this Semper Fi 2012 calendar
are photos of military helicopters, armored tanks, fighter
jets, and American servicemen as they go into battle.
Honor, Courage, and Commitment are words to live by for
Marines. The words Semper Fidelis are also shown on
the Marine Corp seal on the eagle. |
