The board game that has sold over one hundred million sets across the globe is Scrabble. Alfred Mosher Butts invented the game back in 1938 and it was actually turned into an NBC television game show in 1984. The 2012 Scrabble calendar gives you a mini-match every day of the year. The game has evolved into tournament play, with a National and World Scrabble Championship being held in a variety of locations.
