Established in Jacksonville, Florida in 1964 by Ronnie Van
Zant, Gary Rossington, and Allen Collins, the band Lynyrd
Skynyrd was a huge American rock band in the 1970's.
The death of lead singer Van Zant and three other members in
a plane crash in 1977 ended their run. The 2012 Lynyrd
Skynyrd calendar relives the glory years when they were at
their peak. The younger brother of Ronnie Van Zant
took over in 1987 and reformed the group. Since that
time, they have been performing and recording music.
The Lynyrd Skynrd 2012 calendar pays tribute to the old and
the new of the band. The pinnacle of the Lynyrd
Skynyrd band was from 1973-1977 and included classic songs
such as Sweet Home Alabama and Free Bird. |
