In the
angelic hierarchy, a cherub is considered the second highest
rank, directly underneath the Seraphim. They are
briefly mentioned in the Book of Genesis as guardians of the
Garden of Eden. The 2012 Cherubs calendar portrays
them as small, chubby children with an innocent face.
That is the mythology that has described these angelic
creatures. The rosy face is another attribute of the
Cherubs 2012 calendar. In Christianity, this depiction
has only held true since the Renaissance. Prior to
that, cherubs were seen as faces of a lion, ox, or man with
