Dozens
upon dozens of lighthouses exist on both the western and
eastern shores of Canada. In British Columbia, there
are eleven notable lighthouses such as Cape Beale
Lightstation and the Pachena Point Lighthouse. In the
2013 Lighthouses of Canada calendar, there are many unique
fixtures that differ widely from those found in the states.
On the Atlantic, Newfoundland has by far the most.
Even though many areas are uninhabited, the lighthouses
serve as marking points for fishermen. Nova Scotia has
a few themselves and some are also included in the
Lighthouses of Canada 2013 calendars. There is one on
Sable Island, Peggys Cove, and Yarmouth. |
