Many
people are not aware of this, but there are 790 Scottish
islands off the mainland. Only 97 of the 790 islands
are populated and only fourteen of those have more than
1,000 residents. Therefore, the 2012 Scottish Islands
calendars are able to show you gorgeous, uninhabited lands
that are peaceful and tranquil. Some of the larger
islands are Arran, Bute, Hoy, Islay, Jura, Lewis and Harris,
Mull, North Uist, Skye, and Yell. Not all of these are
included in the Scottish Islands 2012 calendar, but you'll
get a feel for what the place is like. Freshwater
islands are also here, with Lochindorb Castle Island being
one of the more notable. |
