The
Lone Star State came into existence in 1836 after declaring
independence from Mexico. Nine years later, Texas
joined the United States as their 28th state. It is
one of the largest states in the union, second only to
Alaska in terms of size. With so much land, these 2012
Texas calendars have tons of options to choose from.
They can go west toward El Paso or south to San Antonio.
The population of Texas is now over 20 million strong.
When it became part of the United States, there were only
about 200,000 residents. Houston is the largest city
in Texas, but Dallas, Austin, El Paso, Fort Worth, and San
Antonio are also significant cities. These Texas 2012
calendars go outside the major cities to bring you nature,
wildlife, and other scenic areas of the state. |
