Bordered by China to the north and Cambodia to the
southwest, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has developed
into the 13th largest country in the world. Despite a
devastating war forty years ago, there are now 86 million
residents of the nation. The 2012 Journey Through
Vietnam calendars demonstrate that this country is not what
the generation before us pictured it as. After the war
ravaged the country, reconstruction progressed slowly.
However, in 1986 Vietnam instituted free-market reforms and
rapid growth has followed. The result is evident in
the Vietnam 2012 calendars. Foreign investment,
construction, industrial production, and agricultural
production are flourishing. Vietnam is still a
third-world nation, but it is progressing quickly. |
