Seen here is a 2012
Rugby calendar from our global sports category. The football
game that was developed in the United Kingdom dates back to the
1700's uses an oval ball. These Rugby 2012 calendars show many
ruggers scrambling for the ball. |

There
is an old saying in the United Kingdom that goes "Football
is a gentlemen's game played by thugs and rugby is a thug's
game played by gentlemen. Therein lies the difference
between rugby and football. These 2012 Rugby calendars
demonstrate how different the game is relative to American
football. Two teams of thirteen play on a rectangular
field with a spheroid ball. The main plan is to kick
or carry the ball to the opponent's end of the field where
points can be scored. A dozen photos dawn the pages of
this Rugby 2012 calendar, where you can see the men fighting
for control of the ball. Australia, New Zealand, and
England is where the game of rugby is most prominent.
The game is played in the United States, but is not nearly
as popular as football. |
