The Austrian photographer was born in 1948 and has done numerous amounts of artwork. Gottfried Helnwein studied in Vienna at the University of Visual Art. He is a fine artist and has also done performance art. Despite this mild art piece, much of Gottfried Helnwein's work is considered controversial. He has done many pieces involving injured children. Gottfried Helnwein recently opened a studio in Los Angeles and has worked with Maximilian Schnell for an opera at the Los Angeles Opera. Helnwein received his Irish citizenship in 2004 and currently lives in both Los Angeles and Ireland. |
