The Boondock Saints motion picture was made in 1999 and starred Willem Dafoe as Paul Smecker. It also starred Sean Patrick Flannery as Connor MacManus and Norman Reedus as Murphy MacManus. The story is of two Irish brothers who live and work in Boston who believe they are on a mission from god to rid the world of evil. Dafoe plays the FBI agent who is trying to capture them, but secretly believes that what they are doing is right. The brothers believe they are 'saints' and they believe in Veritas (truth) and Aequitas (justice). They write in on their hands and it is shown in the Boondocks Saints poster as they hold their guns. |
