This
movie was filmed in 2001 and starred Nicole Kidman as Satine
and Ewan MacGregor as Christian. It also had
appearances by John Leguizamo and Kylie Minogue as the Green
Fairy. The story centers around Christian, who is
living in Paris, France in the late 19th century.
Against his father's wishes, he joins the bizarre sex and
drug underworld of Moulin Rouge, which became famous in
Paris at this time. he finds himself involved in a
love affair with Satine, one of the stars of the club.
The story of their love is the central theme of the movie
and it is played out against the backdrop of the goings on
