He was born on August 15, 1972. Ben Affleck was born in California but raised in the Boston suburbs by a social worker and a school teacher. He started acting at a very young age and received a part in a mini-series called "The Voyage of the Mimi" at the age of eight. It was around that time that Ben Affleck met his best friend, Matt Damon, who also wanted to act. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck struggled to land major roles, so they decided to write their own script and together they produced "Good Will Hunting". After shopping it around, it was picked up and produced in 1997. Affleck and Daman were the two main
characters in the film and the roles made them famous.
