Gloria Steinem Posters

After growing up in Ohio, Gloria Steinem attended Smith College in Massachusetts and graduated in 1956.  Smith was a prominent college for women only.  She found work as a journalist after being abroad for two years.  Steinem worked her way into covering George McGovern's presidential bid, but she also became heavily involved in feminism and the woman's movement.  Gloria Steinem founded the National Women's Political Caucus in 1971 and the magazine "Ms." in 1972.  She wrote for that magazine for 15 years until she sold it in 1987.  Gloria Steinem remains one of the principal editors.  She got married for the first time at the young age of 66.
