Richard Nixon was actually re-elected in 1972 after his first four year term. When he resigned, his approval rating was down to 25%. Remarkably, 25% of Americans actually approved of the job he was doing. Richard Nixon was one of the worst presidents in the history of the United States. He died in April of 1994.
