The world map continues to go through many changes year in and year out. The former Yugoslavia is now represented in pieces, the Soviet Union is now separated by different countries, while other countries have simply changed their names. Iraq is still labeled as Iraq, even though the U.S. occupies it, but Saudi Arabia dominates the land area in the Middle East. This also gives you an idea of the size of different countries and continents. Australia looks amazingly small next to Asia and Africa. This updated map will give you an accurate reflection of the world in 2005.
