Located
in Dublin, Ireland, the Guinness Brewing Company has been
around for a very, very long time. It was originally
opened in 1759 by Arthur Guinness. Arthur had such
foresight that he signed a 9,000 year lease on the factory.
The lease allowed him to pay a mere 45 pounds per year to
lease the property. These Guinness t-shirts above
shows the Irish roots of the beer. The first t-shirt
is designed in green and the second t-shirt has a shamrock.
The draft stout beer has about 4.2% alcohol by volume, but
the Guinness Special Export Stout that is sold in Belgium
sports a solid 8% alcohol by volume. |
