A
favorite brand of whiskey is none other than Jack Daniel's.
This 80-proof alcohol is manufactured by Brown-Forman in
Lynchburg, Tennessee. Brown-Forman has owned the
rights to the brand since 1957. The Jack Daniel's
t-shirt on the left shows a game of poker and the black
t-shirt depicts the classic bottle of whiskey. The
creator of the whiskey was Jasper Newton Daniel.
Jasper was commonly called Jack and he started the
distillery somewhere between 1866 and 1975. Jack
Daniel died in 1911 from blood poisoning, but his famous
distillery lived on with his nephew Lem. Lem passed
away in 1947. |
