The
term pirate became famous for committing robberies and other
crimes at sea. In general, it refers to a time long
ago but more recently, there has been piracy along the coast
of Somalia in Africa. In the past, many operated out
of the West Indies. These pirates t-shirts show you
the typical get-up they might wear on their adventure.
Today, there are still pirates on the open sea. In
2001, Sir Peter Blake was killed by pirates in South
America. The red bandana and earring you see in the
pirates t-shirts were part of the garb that many used to
