There
are four former Presidents on Mount Rushmore. Abraham
Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt and George
Washington are the four men. These Mount Rushmore
Republicans t-shirts show the difference between Democrats
and Republicans. Abraham Lincoln was a Republican, but
was also a liberal. Thomas Jefferson was a Republican
in the early 1800's, but that party later became what is now
the Democratic Party. The Republican Party of today
was formed in the late 1800's. Teddy Roosevelt was a
Republican and George Washington was associated with the
Federalist Party, which no longer exists.
