Globe writer Nathan Cobb. This Red Sox Nation t-shirt
demonstrates the love for the previously tortured, but now
World Series Champion Boston Red Sox. It was in 2004
that Red Sox management decided to capitalize on the phrase
by offering an official citizenship in the nation. The
Red Sox Nation t-shirt bypasses the management membership
requirement, as any fan of the team is allowed to own this
t-shirt. Officially, Jerry Remy is the President of
Red Sox Nation. Remy, a native of Massachusetts,
played for the Sox from 1975-1984 and has served as
broadcaster for the team for the last twenty years. |
