The
Palmetto City of Charleston is located on the coast of South
Carolina on the Atlantic Ocean. In the early days of
America, it was one of the largest cities. In the
Charleston t-shirts, a moon and a palmetto are included in
the oval. Today, the population of Charleston is
around 120,000, far less than Washington, D.C.,
Philadelphia, or New York City. The civil war in the
1860's destroyed much of the city and twenty years later, a
massive earthquake shattered the city. The city came
back and these Charleston t-shirts are representative of
that, with photos of all the wonderful spots. It is
now a place where tourists come and spend their money. |
