On the
border with Kentucky and site of the Fort Campbell Army post
is the city of Clarksville. This Tennessee town is the
home of Austin Peay State University, a college with about
9,000 students. The Clarksville t-shirts have one with
the 'TN' abbreviation and one without. In pop culture,
the Monkees performed a song in 1966 entitled 'Last Train to
Clarksville' in reference to the train depot in the city.
The song reached #1 on the charts at the time. The
Clarksville t-shirts show how you're famous there.
Actual famous people that have lived here include Pat
Summitt, Jimi Hendrix, Charles Schulz, and Roy Acuff. |
