In the
northwestern area of Wisconsin is the City of Eau Claire. With
more than 60,000 residents, these Eau Claire t-shirts are a hot
item. The town is not far from Minnesota. The Eau Claire

There
is not much out in the central western portion of Wisconsin
as most cities lie to the east, but Eau Claire is one of
them. The name means 'clear waters' in French.

other cities in America with the identical names, as the
Wisconsin abbreviation is on both. Most would rather
be there as the Eau Claire t-shirts say. The city has
about two square miles of water, including Dells Pond and
Half Moon Lake. It is called half moon because of its
crescent shape. Eau Claire was settled by French
explorers as they traveled down the Chippewa River.
There is talk of changing the official name to Clearwater,
so these t-shirts could be a collectors item one day.
