Gulfport, Mississippi T-Shirts

The second biggest city in the State of Mississippi after Jackson is Gulfport. Directly on the Gulf of Mexico, this town was home to 71,000 according to the 2000 census. The 228 area code is represented in these Gulfport t-shirts. After Hurricane Katrina devastated this town, it is unknown what the current population is or the total area. Despite the struggle, we'd all rather be here as the other Gulfport t-shirts show. Almost the entire city was flooded by Hurricane Katrina on August 29, 2005. Riverboat casinos were strewn all over the Gulfport shore and many houses were so leveled that only the foundation remained. Luckily, the city is in recovery mode and much is being rebuilt.
