The
sunflower state that lies in the geographic center of
America is the State of Kansas. The prairie and
farmland state has Wichita as the biggest city and Topeka as
its capital. The Kansas t-shirts have a little fun
with the layout of the area. The first t-shirt claims
it to be the first rectangle state, as there are many with
similar borders, such as Wyoming, Colorado, and the Dakotas.
The second Kansas t-shirts state that not everything is
flat, implying that even though the landscape is flat, the
girls are not. The landmark case of Brown versus the
Board of Education took place in Kansas in 1954. A
historical site has since been erected in Topeka to
commemorate the end of segregation in schools. |
