The
Ironman Triathlon, which combines swimming, biking, and
running, is held here in Kona, Hawaii every season.
The town is located on the big island and is the site of the
International airport, but it is home to less than 10,000.
The Kona t-shirts pay no mind to how many folks live there.
The shirts simply represent being on the actual island of
Hawaii. The other Kona t-shirts is organic and is made
in the United States. The community lies on the
western side of the state. In 2006, there was an
earthquake off the shore of Kona that registered 6.7 on the
Richter scale. Since it happened offshore, nobody was
hurt and only a four inch tsunami was recorded in the
aftermath. |
