of the new century and the temporary home of the New Orleans
Hornets is Oklahoma City. The Tornado Alley of America
was gracious enough to take the New Orleans team in, which
has produced so much fan-fare that the city will likely
receive its own franchise shortly. The Oklahoma City
t-shirts can be put on during the games to bring more
attention to the city. Oftentimes, people don't even
know where the Hornets are playing. These Oklahoma
City t-shirts will help clear up any confusion and will help
promote the town. One sad historical note about
Oklahoma City is that it was the site of an act of terrorism
on April 19, 1996. The Alfred P. Murrah Federal
Building in downtown Oklahoma City was bombed in what was,
at the time, the worst act of terrorism on American soil.
Two Americans were arrested for the crimes. One was
executed and one was sent to prison for life. |
