The
Ocean State and the smallest in the United States is the
State of Rhode Island. Even though the name implies
that it is an island, most of it is attached to
Massachusetts and Connecticut. The Rhode Island
t-shirts strongly resemble the URI colors and one would not
be able to tell the difference between the university and
the state. Parts of the state are off the mainland,
including Aquidneck, Block, Conanicut, and Prudence Islands
and Jamestown. The second Rhode Island t-shirts take a
page out the love of NYC. There are only 1,214 square
miles to Rhode Island, making it smaller than some American
cities. Only 88 people live on Prudence Island, 1,010
live on Block, and 5,622 live on Conanicut. Aquidneck
Island, which includes Newport, Portsmouth, and Middletown,
contains 61,000 residents. |
